Grilled Chilli Prawn Skewers with Avocado and Mango Salad Nutritional Values

Grilled Chilli Prawns on Wholemeal Pitta Bread Nutritional Values

⚠ While the salad is definitely the healthiest option, there is also a wholemeal pitta bread option so you can diversify if required. For a keto friendly option, make sure to have the salad skewers, with no onion, tomato or mango, and use green peppers instead of red/yellow peppers.


Prawn skewers

  • 375g Peeled King Prawns

  • 2 tbsp Chilli Infused Olive Oil

  • 2tbsp Lime juice

  • 1 tbsp Garlic and herbs

  • Salt

  • 6-8 Skeewers (not quite an ingredient, but you will need this)


  • 2 onions

  • 3 large peppers

  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • 3 tomatoes

  • half large cucumber

  • 2 avocados

  • 2 mangos

  • 70gr wild rocket

  • half lemon (or lemon juice)

  • 1tbsp olive oil

  • salt

  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

+ wholemeal pitta bread (optional)


1. Prepare the prawns by seasoning them with chilli infused olive oil, lime juice, salt, garlic and herbs. Mixed it well

2. Place the prawns in the skewers. Skip this step if you're following the recipe for prawns on pitta bread

3. Cut the onions and the peppers. Remove the seeds and cut them into strips

4. Pre-heat a bit of olive oil on a large pan, and add the onions to brown

5. Take another pan to the heat and add the prawn skewers on it. For the pitta bread meal, add the prawns on it's own

6. Once the onions brown, add the peppers to the pan and a pinch of salt. Cover with a lead to cook faster and ensure to mix it from time to time so it doesn't burn

7. Check the skewers/prawns throughout and turn them whenever necessary

8. While the skewers/prawns grill and the peppers cook, start the salad. Cut the tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and mango and place them all in a big bowl

9. Add the rocket and season all with lemon juice, olive oil, salt and balsamic vinegar. Mix it well.

10. Once the skewers/prawns and the peppers are ready, you can serve it according to what you chose. For skewers with salad, serve on a plate the salad, the peppers and 1-2 skewers. For the prawns on pitta bread, cut the wholemeal pitta bread, add the salad at the bottom, followed by a layer of peppers and finally the prawns.
